Which Communities Board is which?
Communities Boards are split into geographical areas as follows:
- Isis - Oxfordshire
- Marden - Swindon, Royal Wootton Bassett, Malmesbury, Cricklade, Purton, and villages
- Avon - Chippenham, Melksham, Trowbridge, Corsham, Bradford on Avon and villages.
When do the Boards meet?
Each Board will meet five times a year as well as an annual meeting. The annual meeting will be open for all residents to attend – to be held at a local venue. Here residents will be able to find out about the work of the Communities Board for their area – how its budgets have been spent, how well it has performed against local priorities, and what the priorities should be for the next year.
Who’s on the Boards?
Each Communities Board is made up of 12 members – 5 residents and 5 independents (not residents or employees of GreenSquare), as well as the Head of Neighbourhood for that area and a member from the GreenSquare Board. The membership is a mix of existing Board members who were previously serving on OCHA and Westlea Boards and members new to GreenSquare. All Communities Boards members have now been appointed. Members are taking part in their induction and training as part of the new GreenSquare Academy to support them in getting to grips with their role.
