Angie Clapp

Angela Clapp I originally come from Malmesbury and spent many years in the licensed trade with my late husband.

As a mature student I studied at Wiltshire College and obtained qualifications in Business, Finance, and Information Technology. I also have an introductory certificate in Housing Finance from the National Housing Federation.

I was a Board Member of Westlea Housing from September 2000 to 2009 and co-opted back by the Board in 2010; and before that was the secretary for various residents’ groups. In the wider housing sector, I was a director of TPAS (Tenant Participation Advisory Service) for six years and chair for two years. I was also a member of the Audit Commission’s advisory panel for revenue recovery and a member of the Disability Rights Commission Advisory panel. I have given many presentations on large scale voluntary transfer (LSVT) to residents and local authority staff.

I am currently a trustee for the Wiltshire and Swindon User Network (a group for people with disabilities and learning difficulties) and a member of the Wiltshire Tenant and Resident Voice (WTRV) for Wiltshire Council.
