TPAS success for Westlea resident
Congratulations to Westlea Housing resident and Board member Alison Cross-Jones who was elected as Vice-Chair of the national Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) at their Annual Conference in July.
TPAS is a not-for-profit membership organisation that provides information, consultancy, training and conferences on all aspects of involving tenants in their housing management.
"I'm still pinching myself to make sure it's real but I'm looking forward to the challenge," said Alison.
The title of the Conference was 'A New Dawn in Tenant Empowerment' which Alison says was appropriate:
"For me personally it's also a new dawn and new direction and I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead and working with the new Chair Sara Thakkar, who's chief executive of Wandle Housing Association.
"I've been fortunate on my journey in life to have worked with some fabulous people, staff and Board at Westlea, my fellow TPAS Directors, TPAS staff - and not forgetting the support and love of my family and friends," said Alison.
