How we are going to make things better in Hill Rise
- We will maintain and review our partnership with the Wiltshire Youth Development Service who run the popular youth activity ‘Dreamscheme’ for young people. We will also continue to support youth health and well-being activities including the Footy4all and Wild Wiltshire initiatives from our partnerships.
-
We will continue to provide support and advice by using the temporary community building (Pod) and making it accessible to everybody living in the area. We will also continue to provide youth work from the Pod.
-
We will maintain our partnership with Barnardo’s who provide individual support for families, as well as arranging activities and services for children.
-
We will continue to work closely with the Neighbourhood Police Team and Wiltshire Council to tackle anti social behaviour, to help improve community safety.
-
We will continue to work with Carers Support North Wiltshire who provide support, advice, information and opportunities to people who have caring responsibilities for a relative, neighbour or friend.
-
We have set up a scheme with North Wiltshire Citizens Advice Bureau and we have a dedicated project worker who will help residents claim all the benefits available to them and help them manage their debt problems.
-
We want to make sure that our neighbourhoods are good places to live and we have a set of neighbourhood standards that tell residents how we will deal with the issues that they’ve told us really matter.
