How we are going to make things better in Coleman’s Farm
- We will continue to work with the Wiltshire Youth Development Service who provide Street Based Youth Workers and run the popular youth activity ‘Dreamscheme’. Young residents will also be supported to contribute to Westlea’s Business Plan through the Voice It Project.
-
We will maintain our partnership with Barnardo’s and we’ll work with Priestley Primary School, Calne Children’s Centre and the NSPCC.
-
We will continue to work closely with the Neighbourhood Police Team, Wiltshire Council, Calne Community Safety Partnership, and Westlea’s AntiSocial Behaviour Team to tackle antisocial behaviour, to help improve community safety.
-
We will continue to work with Carers Support North Wiltshire who provide support, advice, information, and opportunities to people who have caring responsibilities for a relative, neighbour, or friend. We will also maintain our partnership with Young Carers.
-
We will maintain our partnership with North Wiltshire Citizens Advice Bureau who provide a dedicated project worker who will help you claim all the benefits available to you and help you manage your debt problems.
-
We will support community events run by Calne Community Area Partnership’s Environmental Theme Group.
-
We have set up the Community Investment Fund for residents groups who would like to take more control of managing their local area and services.
-
We will work in partnership with Calne Town Council, Wiltshire Council, and Calne Community Area Partnership, to help drive forward residents’ concerns.
-
We want to make sure that our neighbourhoods are good places to live and we have a set of neighbourhood standards that tell you how we will deal with the issues that you’ve told us really matter.
