ACCOMMODATION: 
River House has four double flats and sixteen studio apartments, all with their own kitchen and bathroom. A guest room is provided for use by visiting friends or relatives. Many of the units have been adapted to aid mobility with hand rails etc.


SHARED FACILITIES: 
There is a large and comfortable communal lounge with patio; a well-equipped shared kitchen often

used for functions; and a shower room. A laundry room has a washing machine and tumble dryer with ironing facilities.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES: 
Tenants enjoy regular social activities including coffee mornings and afternoon tea. There is a weekly day centre at the scheme and a monthly lunch club. Other social activities include the Scrabble group, darts team and gardening group (who won their class in the Chippenham In Bloom contest 2001). 


LOCAL AMENITIES:
Situated in St Marys Street - one of the oldest in Chippenham - and built overlooking the River Avon and the town's Monkton Park, River House is just a five-minute walk from the town centre. The town has a wide range of shops and all necessary amenities, including a large library and post office, both of which are near the scheme. St Andrews church is just across the street from River House, and churches of other denominations are all within the town centre area. Chippenham benefits from regular bus and rail services to other parts of the country.  Home visits by a hairdresser and local healthcare professionals and a delivery service from the local pharmacy are all available to River House tenants.
